Well, I've been getting a bid vibe from DA for some time now. The commercialization of the site hasn't gone totally over my head. Its changed a lot in the short time since I've joined, and I'm not sure I've liked what I've seen.

However, Jark's firing set off warning bells in my skull. I'm not some diehard Jark fan, and in fact knew nothing about him before the event, including his role in creating DA. However, his presence was made felt in the very fabric of the community... his announcements in the inbox, and the ever present yellow alien. He must have 300 different smilies of his alien, and thats a conservative estimate.

Watching the events as they unfold, I'm worried. Most worrying to me is Spyed's response to all this... its a carefully worded politicians essay that says a lot while simultaneously avoiding the subject at hand, thereby saying nothing. My tolerance of those kind of carefully worded statements has been historically very limited.

So, because of my discomfort with all this, I will not be posting ANY more deviations unless I see significant improvement. I'll be checking the site, though, so I won't be totally inactive.
